About Blue Creek Outfitting

We are enthusiastic about the outdoors, especially when horses are involved. We teach very unique week–long clinics for trail riders, horse packers, horseback hunters, or anyone who loves the outdoors.

The clinics take place in the beautiful Purcell Mountains, British Columbia, Canada. One week packed with education around trail riding, horse packing, and navigating in the mountains. Everything is supplied, horses, gear, and a ton of fun. 

We are proud of our camp and horse gear. All our products have met the test of time. They have been made in-house for the past 30 years and are of the highest quality and outdoor practicality.

Blue Creek Outfitting was founded by Stan Walchuk from Mc Bride, BC over 30 years ago. He was the first to cross the Cordillera on his own with 3 horses. He wrote many fascinating books about the outdoors, horses, bears, and the art of trail riding and horse packing.

I feel very honored to have been a friend of Stan's for many years, and that I get to continue the sale of his proven outdoor equipment and pass on his knowledge combined with my experience in our trail and pack horse clinics.
