Author Stan Walchuk Jr.

Stan Walchuk Jr. has been an adventurer since childhood, taking well over a hundred horse, foot and canoe journeys across remote reaches of North America. He has been a biologist, guide, outfitter, teacher, surveyor, construction worker, truck driver, writer and filmmaker. Stan's passion and past provide a colorful base from which to share his wealth of knowledge with others. The movie and book about Stan's remote and rugged 1000 mile "CORDILLERA!” EXPEDITION won awards and received international recognition. He has come by his horse knowledge the long way - experience through countless days on the trail with various outfitters, old time packers now passed on, and modem day trainers. With his wife Marlene, children Aaron and Dylan, he presently operates Blue Creek Outfitting, including the trail riding, packing and training clinics from his home in McBride B.C.
